- 1 lb ground beef or sausage
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 4 cups beef or chicken broth
- 1 cup pasta noodles (penne or broken lasagna sheets)
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh basil and parsley for garnish
- Olive oil, salt, pepper, Italian seasoning
Instructions
- In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef or sausage, cook until browned. Remove excess fat.
- Add diced onion and garlic; sauté until fragrant.
- Pour in crushed tomatoes and broth, stir in Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil.
- Add pasta noodles and cook until al dente, about 10 minutes.
- Stir in ricotta, half of the mozzarella, and Parmesan cheeses. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until creamy.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil, parsley, and remaining mozzarella cheese.
