- 1 ready-made pizza crust
- 2 cups caramelized onions
- 2 cups shredded Gruyere cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add onions and cook until caramelized, about 20 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and thyme.
- Place the pizza crust on a baking sheet. Spread the caramelized onions evenly over the crust.
- Sprinkle the shredded Gruyere cheese and Parmesan on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Garnish with extra thyme if desired. Slice and serve hot.
Notes
- For added flavor, brush the crust edges with garlic butter before baking.
- Can substitute Gruyere with Swiss or mozzarella cheese.
