- 1 lb ground beef or beef chunks
- 4 medium potatoes, sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add chopped onion and minced garlic, cook until fragrant.
- Add ground beef or beef chunks, cook until browned.
- Layer sliced potatoes over the cooked meat, season with salt, pepper, and thyme.
- Pour heavy cream over the mixture, cover and simmer for 20 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese on top, cover until melted.
- Serve hot garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
Notes
- Can substitute heavy cream with coconut milk for a dairy-free option.
- Add chopped veggies such as bell peppers or mushrooms for variation.
