- Candy eyes for decoration
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add egg and vanilla, mix well.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Shape dough into balls and place on prepared baking sheets.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden.
- Allow to cool slightly, then decorate with candy eyes while still warm.
Notes
- For extra fun, add colored sprinkles or different types of chocolate chips.
- Store cookies in an airtight container for up to a week.
