Perfect for busy weeknights or special gatherings, this dish offers a delightful balance of sweet and spicy notes in every bite.

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced into strips
  • 12 oz (340 g) of your favorite pasta (penne, fettuccine, or spaghetti)
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce (optional)
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken strips, season with salt and black pepper, and cook until golden and cooked through, about 7-8 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add more olive oil if needed, then sauté minced garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute. Stir in honey, soy sauce (if using), and freshly ground black pepper. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until sauce thickens slightly.
  4. Add the cooked pasta and chicken back into the skillet. Toss to coat evenly with the honey pepper sauce. Warm through for another 2 minutes.

Notes

  • Use gluten-free pasta to make this dish suitable for gluten-free diets.
  • Replace honey with maple syrup or agave nectar for a different sweet profile.
  • Garnish with chopped fresh parsley or basil for added freshness.
