Ingredients
Scale
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced into strips
- 12 oz (340 g) of your favorite pasta (penne, fettuccine, or spaghetti)
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce (optional)
- Salt to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken strips, season with salt and black pepper, and cook until golden and cooked through, about 7-8 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add more olive oil if needed, then sauté minced garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute. Stir in honey, soy sauce (if using), and freshly ground black pepper. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until sauce thickens slightly.
- Add the cooked pasta and chicken back into the skillet. Toss to coat evenly with the honey pepper sauce. Warm through for another 2 minutes.
Notes
- Use gluten-free pasta to make this dish suitable for gluten-free diets.
- Replace honey with maple syrup or agave nectar for a different sweet profile.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley or basil for added freshness.
