- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup apple cider
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- Fresh apple slices for topping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a loaf pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Mix in vanilla extract and apple cider.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet, mixing until just combined.
- Pour batter into prepared loaf pan.
- Arrange apple slices on top of the batter.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before serving garnished with additional apple slices if desired.
Notes
- Use fresh apple cider for best flavor.
- Optional: sprinkle cinnamon sugar on top before baking.
