Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water. Let sit until frothy, about 5 minutes.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture, melted butter, and knead until smooth.
  3. Cover the dough and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  4. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Punch down the dough and roll into a rectangle.
  5. Spread minced garlic evenly over the dough, sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  6. Roll the dough tightly from the short end and cut into 12 equal slices.
  7. Place slices on a greased baking sheet, brush with melted butter, and sprinkle parsley.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and cheese is bubbly.
