Ingredients
Scale
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- Optional: chopped walnuts or chocolate chips for added texture
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas thoroughly. Add the sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix well until smooth.
- In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar and ground cinnamon. Set aside for layering.
- Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined to avoid overmixing.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mixture over the batter.
- Add the remaining batter on top and sprinkle with the remaining cinnamon mixture. Use a knife or skewer to swirl the cinnamon into the batter, creating marbled effects.
- Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- Optional: Fold in chopped walnuts or chocolate chips for added texture.
- Ensure bananas are ripe for the best flavor and sweetness.
- For a dairy-free version, substitute butter with coconut oil.
