- 1 pound carrots, sliced
- 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Fresh thyme or parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Place sliced carrots in the slow cooker.
- In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat, then stir in maple syrup, brown sugar, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Pour the glaze over the carrots in the slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours until carrots are tender and coated in glaze.
- Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
Notes
- Adjust sweetness by adding more or less brown sugar or maple syrup.
- For a smoky flavor, add a touch of smoked paprika.
