- 3/4 cup buttermilk
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- Cooked breakfast sausage patties
- Syrup for drizzling
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
- In another bowl, whisk buttermilk, egg, and melted butter.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
- Heat a griddle or skillet over medium heat and lightly grease.
- Pour 1/4 cup batter onto the skillet, place a cooked sausage patty on top, then cover with more batter.
- Cook until golden brown on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Repeat with remaining batter and sausage.
- Serve warm, drizzled with syrup and dusted with powdered sugar. Enjoy!.
Notes
- Use sausage patties that are about 1/2 inch thick for the best filling.
