- 4 cups sliced apples (preferably Granny Smith or Fuji)
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1 cup chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
Instructions
- Layer sliced apples in the bottom of the crockpot. Sprinkle with cinnamon.
- Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the apples.
- Drizzle melted butter and caramel sauce over the cake mix.
- Sprinkle chopped nuts on top.
- Cover and cook on low for 4 hours or until bubbly and cooked through.
- Serve warm, optionally topped with whipped cream or additional caramel sauce.
Notes
- Can substitute different types of apples based on preference.
- For a gluten-free version, use a gluten-free cake mix.
