Ingredients
- 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 4 cups mini marshmallows
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Optional toppings: additional marshmallows, chocolate drizzle, or crushed graham crackers
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter until evenly mixed. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of a greased 9×13 inch baking dish to form an even crust. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 8-10 minutes to set the crust.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth. Spread the melted chocolate evenly over the cooled crust.
- Sprinkle the mini marshmallows over the melted chocolate layer. Drizzle vanilla extract over the marshmallows. Lightly press some marshmallows into the layer to ensure gooeyness in every bite.
- Return the baking dish to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes or until the marshmallows are golden and puffy. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before slicing into bars.
- Cut into squares and serve warm or at room temperature. For an extra touch, top with crushed graham crackers or drizzle with melted chocolate.
Notes
- Use high-quality chocolate chips for a richer flavor.
- Adjust the marshmallow amount for extra gooeyness.
- Chill the bars in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before slicing for cleaner cuts.
- Use a sharp knife warmed with hot water for neat slices.
