Ingredients

- 1.5 lbs ground beef or beef stew meat
- 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 2 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups beef broth
Instructions
- Brown the beef in a skillet over medium heat, then transfer to the slow cooker.
- Add all remaining ingredients to the slow cooker.
- Stir well to combine.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- Serve hot with your favorite toppings.
Notes
For a thicker chili, remove the lid during the last 30 minutes of cooking to reduce excess liquid.
