- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Place chicken in the slow cooker and pour chicken broth over the top.
- Cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours until chicken is tender.
- Remove chicken and set aside. In a small saucepan, melt butter and stir in flour to make a roux.
- Add heavy cream and cook until thickened, then combine with the sauce from the slow cooker.
- Return chicken to the gravy and simmer for 10 minutes. Garnish with parsley before serving.
Notes
- You can substitute heavy cream with milk for a lighter gravy.
- Serve over mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles for a complete meal.
