- 1 lb (450g) beef sirloin or flank steak, sliced into thin strips
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional)
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add sliced beef and cook until browned, about 2-3 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of oil and sauté garlic until fragrant.
- Add sliced bell peppers and onions, stir-frying for 4-5 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Return beef to the skillet. Add soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Toss to combine and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
- Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles.
Notes
- Adjust the seasoning according to your taste.
- For a gluten-free version, substitute soy sauce with tamari.
