Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) beef sirloin or flank steak, sliced into thin strips
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add sliced beef and cook until browned, about 2-3 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of oil and sauté garlic until fragrant.
  4. Add sliced bell peppers and onions, stir-frying for 4-5 minutes until tender-crisp.
  5. Return beef to the skillet. Add soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Toss to combine and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
  6. Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles.
