A savory pepper steak with colorful bell peppers and a rich sauce, perfect for a satisfying dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb flank steak or sirloin, sliced thin
  • 2 bell peppers (red and green), sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add sliced beef and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add garlic and cook until fragrant. Add sliced peppers and stir-fry until slightly tender.
  3. Return beef to the skillet. Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, and black pepper. Mix well.
  4. Pour in cornstarch mixture to thicken the sauce. Cook for another 2 minutes until sauce is glossy and coats the beef and peppers.
  5. Serve hot with steamed rice or noodles.

  • Use thinly sliced beef for quick cooking and tender texture.
