- 1 pound smoked sausage, sliced
- 2 cups cooked rice
- 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh cilantro or parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add sliced sausage and cook until browned. Remove sausages and set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté chopped onion and minced garlic until translucent.
- Add cumin, smoked paprika, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Stir well to coat the vegetables.
- Stir in black beans and cooked rice. Mix thoroughly to combine all flavors.
- Return sausage slices to the skillet. Cook for another 5 minutes, allowing flavors to meld.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro or parsley. Serve hot.

- You can substitute smoked sausage with chicken sausage for a leaner option.
- Add a splash of hot sauce or lime juice for extra flavor.
