- 2 cups cooked macaroni
- 1 cup shredded cooked BBQ chicken
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour to make a roux and cook for 1-2 minutes.
- Gradually whisk in milk, and cook until sauce thickens, about 3-5 minutes.
- Add shredded cheese, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir until cheese melts and sauce is smooth.
- Combine cooked pasta, shredded BBQ chicken, and cheese sauce in a baking dish.
- Sprinkle additional cheese on top, then bake for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- For extra smoky flavor, use smoked paprika or add a dash of liquid smoke.
- Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 3 days.
