Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ cup balsamic vinegar
- 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary or thyme
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Start by seasoning the chicken breasts generously with salt, pepper, and dried herbs.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
- Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in balsamic vinegar and honey, stirring well. Simmer for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Return chicken to the skillet, coat with the balsamic glaze. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 10 minutes or until cooked through and tender.
Notes
- Use fully thawed chicken breasts for even cooking.
- You can substitute honey with maple syrup or agave nectar.
- Serve with roasted vegetables, rice, or mashed potatoes for a complete meal.
- Enhance flavor with fresh herbs or add sliced onions and mushrooms during simmering.
