Mini Pizza Bites are delightful, bite-sized savory treats that capture all the flavors of a classic pizza in a portable, easy-to-make form. Perfect for parties, snacks, or quick meals, these pizza cupcakes are a crowd-pleaser and versatile addition to your appetizer repertoire.

  • Total Time: 27-30 minutes
  • Yield: 12 mini pizza bites

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package refrigerated biscuit dough or homemade pizza dough
  • 1 cup marinara or pizza sauce
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup pepperoni slices or your favorite toppings (bell peppers, olives, etc.)
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Optional: fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). If using pre-made biscuit dough, lightly flour a clean surface and roll it out into a thin sheet. For homemade dough, prepare and roll into a thin layer, then cut into small circles to fit into a muffin tin.
  2. Grease a muffin tin with non-stick spray. Place a small dough circle into each muffin cup. Spoon about a teaspoon of pizza sauce into each. Top with shredded cheese and your desired toppings. Season with Italian seasoning and garlic powder.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown. Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before removing from the muffin tin. Garnish with fresh basil if desired.

Notes

  • For gluten-free options, substitute with gluten-free biscuit or pizza dough.
  • Feel free to use healthier toppings such as vegetables or lean meats.
  • Adjust baking time if using thicker dough or different toppings.
