Ingredients
Scale
- 1 loaf of Italian bread or baguette
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Use a sharp knife to cut the bread loaf into a grid pattern, making sure not to cut all the way through the bottom.
- In a small bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, and Italian seasoning.
- Gently fan out the bread slices and brush generously with the garlic butter mixture, ensuring it seeps between the layers.
- Stuff the cheese into the gaps of the bread, distributing evenly.
- Wrap the bread loosely in aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving. Serve warm.
Notes
- Use fresh garlic for a more robust flavor.
- You can add cooked bacon or herbs for variation.
- Ensure not to cut all the way to the bottom to keep the loaf intact.
