- 1/4 cup unsalted butter

- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

- 1 large egg

- For coating: cinnamon sugar (1/2 cup sugar mixed with 1 teaspoon cinnamon)
- For topping: melted chocolate or chocolate sauce
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a pot, combine water, butter, sugar, cinnamon, and salt; bring to a boil.
- Remove from heat and add flour all at once, stirring vigorously until mixture forms a dough.
- Let cool slightly, then beat in egg and vanilla until smooth.
- Spoon or pipe the dough into 1-inch pieces onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- While warm, toss the bites in cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Drizzle with melted chocolate or serve with chocolate sauce for dipping.
Notes
- You can pipe the dough using a star-shaped tip for a more traditional churro look.
- Serve immediately for best crispiness.
- Feel free to add a pinch of nutmeg for extra flavor.
