Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz of your favorite pasta (penne, spaghetti, or fusilli)
- 2 chicken breasts, sliced into strips
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Optional: red chili flakes for extra heat
- Fresh parsley or basil for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving a cup of pasta water.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add sliced chicken breasts and cook until golden brown and cooked through—about 5-7 minutes. Remove the chicken and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sliced red bell peppers. Sauté for about 2 minutes until fragrant. Pour in soy sauce, honey, and black pepper. Stir well to combine, adding reserved pasta water if needed.
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and toss to coat evenly with the sauce. Add the cooked pasta and mix thoroughly. Simmer for another 2-3 minutes.
Notes
- Use fresh garlic for a robust flavor.
- Adjust honey and pepper quantities to suit your spice and sweetness preferences.
- Add red chili flakes if you like a spicy kick.
- For extra creaminess, stir in a splash of coconut milk or heavy cream.
