Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb (450g) beef strips (sirloin or flank steak)
- 2 cups fresh broccoli florets
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil (optional)
- 2 green onions, sliced for garnish
Instructions
- Slice the beef into thin strips against the grain. Mix 1 tablespoon soy sauce with cornstarch to create a marinade. Coat beef with this mixture and let sit for 10 minutes.
- Whisk together honey, remaining soy sauce, minced garlic, and sesame oil to prepare the sauce.
- Heat 1 tablespoon vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook beef for 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
- Add remaining oil in the same skillet. Stir-fry broccoli for 2-3 minutes until crisp-tender, adding water if needed.
- Return beef to skillet, pour honey garlic sauce over, and toss to coat. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.
Notes
- Ensure beef slices are thin for quick cooking.
- Adjust honey to preference for sweetness.
- Garnish with toasted sesame seeds for added flavor.
- Use fresh broccoli for best texture.
