  • 1 pound ground beef or Italian sausage
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 4 cups beef or chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 8 oz lasagna noodles, broken into pieces
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, cook ground meat until browned. Transfer to slow cooker.
  2. Add chopped onion, minced garlic, crushed tomatoes, broth, and Italian seasoning to the slow cooker. Stir well.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  4. During the last 30 minutes, add broken lasagna noodles. Cover and continue cooking.
  5. Top with shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Cover until cheese melts.
  6. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley. Serve hot.
