Ingredients
Scale
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Optional: 1/2 cup chopped nuts or chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan with butter or non-stick spray. Mash the bananas thoroughly until smooth.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine mashed bananas, honey, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. Whisk until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
- If desired, fold in chopped nuts or chocolate chips.
- Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
- Use ripe bananas for maximum sweetness and flavor.
- Just mix until combined to keep the bread fluffy.
- Optional add-ins like nuts or chocolate chips add texture and flavor.
- Cool completely before slicing for best slices.
