Ingredients
Scale
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet active dry yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons)
- 1 cup warm milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 egg (for brushing)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- Add melted butter, minced garlic, salt, and half of the chopped parsley to the mixture. Mix well.
- Gradually add flour, kneading until a soft dough forms. Cover and let rise for 1 hour until doubled.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Punch down the dough and divide into 12 equal pieces. Shape into balls.
- Place the dough balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Cover and let rise for 20 minutes.
- Beat the egg and brush over each roll. Sprinkle remaining parsley on top.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Serve warm.
Notes
- Ensure milk is warm, not hot, to activate the yeast properly.
- You can add grated cheese for extra flavor.
- Best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for 2 days.
