Scale
- 1 cup (100g) almond flour or gluten-free all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder (unsweetened)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder (gluten-free)
- 3/4 cup sugar or coconut sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup melted unsalted butter or coconut oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips (optional for extra fudginess)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients: almond flour, cocoa powder, salt, baking powder, and sugar.
- In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and then stir in the melted butter (or coconut oil) along with vanilla extract.
- Gradually combine the wet ingredients with the dry, mixing until smooth. Fold in the chocolate chips if using.

- Pour the batter onto the center of the preheated waffle iron. Close the lid and cook for 4-6 minutes until set and crispy.
- Carefully remove the waffle and let cool slightly. Repeat with remaining batter.

- Ensure your waffle iron is properly preheated for best results.
- You can add nuts or mini marshmallows for extra texture and flavor.
