Ingredients
Scale
- 1 loaf of garlic bread (preferably artisan or homemade for best results)
- 2 cups cooked spaghetti (see pasta)
- 1 cup marinara or marinara-style sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh basil or parsley for garnish
- Optional toppings: cooked sausage, meatballs, or veggies
- Olive oil for brushing
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice the garlic bread loaf in half lengthwise and then into three or four sections, creating manageable boats. Brush the cut sides with olive oil for extra flavor.
- Prepare your favorite spaghetti by cooking it al dente according to package instructions. Drain the pasta and toss it with marinara sauce, mozzarella cheese, and optional toppings like cooked sausage or vegetables. Mix well to ensure even flavor distribution.
- Spoon the prepared spaghetti into each garlic bread boat, filling them generously. Sprinkle additional mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top. Place the assembled boats on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 15–20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown. For an extra crispy edge, switch to broil for the last 2 minutes, watching carefully to prevent burning.
Notes
- Leftover spaghetti garlic bread boats can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
- Reheat by wrapping in foil and warming in a 350°F (175°C) oven for about 10 minutes.
- For best results, serve immediately to enjoy crispy bread and melty cheese.
