Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef (80% lean for juiciness)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Cheese slices (cheddar or American)
- Burger buns
- Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions
- Ketchup and mustard for serving
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently until well incorporated.
- Divide the mixture into four equal parts and shape each into a round patty, slightly larger than your burger buns. Make a small dimple in the center of each.
- Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4 minutes per side or until desired doneness. During the last minute, add cheese slices on top to melt.
- Toast the burger buns lightly. Place each cooked patty on the bottom bun, add your toppings, then ketchup and mustard. Cover with the top bun and serve hot.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add bacon or spicy sauce.
- Avoid overmixing the meat to keep the burgers tender.
- Use fresh buns for the best taste.
- Leftover burgers can be stored in airtight containers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
