- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine ground beef, garlic, ginger, breadcrumbs, egg, and soy sauce. Form into small meatballs.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook meatballs until browned on all sides and cooked through, about 8 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, whisk water, brown sugar, and cornstarch to make the sauce.
- Pour sauce into the skillet with meatballs. Bring to a simmer and cook until sauce thickens, about 3-4 minutes.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve hot with rice or noodles.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a splash of rice vinegar or a dash of chili flakes.
- Use ground turkey or chicken as a healthier alternative.
