Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 1/2 cups breadcrumbs (panko or Italian-seasoned)
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish

- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the chicken until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Transfer chicken to a baking dish. Spoon marinara sauce over each piece and top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven until cheese is bubbly and golden, about 20-25 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh basil leaves and serve hot.
Notes
- You can use panko breadcrumbs for an extra crispy coating.
- Spread marinara evenly over the chicken before adding cheese.
- Serve with pasta or a side salad for a complete meal.
