This spinach and ricotta stuffed shells recipe features large pasta shells filled with a flavorful mixture of spinach, ricotta, and herbs, baked in a rich tomato sauce topped with melted cheese for a comforting meal.

Ingredients

  • 20 large pasta shells
  • 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté garlic until fragrant. Add chopped spinach and cook until wilted. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, cooked spinach, half of the mozzarella, Parmesan, and seasonings.
  5. Stuff each shell with the spinach and ricotta mixture and place in a baking dish.
  6. Pour marinara sauce over stuffed shells and sprinkle with remaining mozzarella cheese.
  7. Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden on top.
