- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 cups sliced mushrooms
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and thyme.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook chicken until golden brown on both sides, about 6-7 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté garlic and mushrooms until mushrooms are browned and tender.
- Add heavy cream and simmer until slightly thickened, about 3-4 minutes.
- Return chicken to the skillet, spoon sauce over, and cook for an additional 5 minutes. Garnish with parsley before serving.
Notes
- You can add a splash of white wine to enhance the sauce flavor.
- Serve with steamed rice, mashed potatoes, or crusty bread.
