- 1 lb chicken breast or thighs, cut into chunks
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp ginger, grated
- 1 can (14 oz) tomato sauce or crushed tomatoes
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Heat butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
- Stir in garlic and ginger, cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add chicken pieces and cook until browned on all sides.
- Mix in spices: garam masala, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for 2 minutes.
- Pour in tomato sauce, simmer for 10 minutes until chicken is cooked through and sauce thickens.
- Reduce heat and stir in heavy cream, cook for an additional 2 minutes.
- Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve hot with rice or naan.
Notes
- Adjust spice levels to taste for more or less heat.
- For a richer flavor, let the sauce simmer longer before adding cream.
